Project Overview 

As the principal contractor, Calder Group was responsible for all aspects of the new Placemakers and Mico Plumbing building in Alexandra, from concept through to completion. 

Calder Group delivered building consent, project management, design and drawings, structural engineering as well as leading the project management and construction.  

The building included a 902m2 drive through canopy for trade customers, 828m2 retail space, 118m2 inwards/outwards goods area and 157m2 mezzanine floor with a staff room, office spaces and meeting rooms.

Project Team 

30 in-house Calder specialists from detailers to steel fabricators, engineers and carpenters. 

Materials 

Titania Coloursteel roofing, DP 955 cladding in Placemakers branded dark blue, designed and manufactured precast and structural steel.
