Project Overview
Nestled in foothills of the Cardrona Valley are two fundamental buildings providing the community of the Cardrona Valley with essential services. Calder Group were contracted to build two treatment plant buildings across two sites in the Cardrona Valley. The first project was to construct a waste water treatment building for specialist plant equipment, MCC, control room and a staff amenity area. The second project was to construct a similar style building at a different location in Cardrona to house water filtration system to provide potable drinking water to local residents and businesses. 

Both these projects provide a reticulated system for the Cardrona Valley, Cardrona Alpine Resort and the residential development at Mt Cardrona Station.   

Project Stats
Total floor area for the waste water building was 170m2 building, with the water treatment building at 208m2 and 900m2 of site works.  

Project Team
10 in-house Calder specialists from architectural technicians, steel detailers, fabricators, welders and carpenters. 

Materials
Precast Panels (fabricated by Calder Group), Structural Steel (fabricated by Calder Group), 0.55 profiled coloursteel roofing 

Project Duration
Wastewater – 5 months
Water Treatment – 4 months
