Project Overview
Situated on a large industrial site in Luggate, is a 13,355m2 three-stage commercial development for Upper Clutha Transport (UCT). This project incorporated large open plan office areas, workshops, apartments, fertiliser bulk storage, drive-through canopy and storage area. Designed, constructed and successfully delivered by our experienced team of in-house by the specialist Calder Group team
This development showcases how the integration of out state-of-the-art structural steel and precast concrete panel capabilities, keeps projects on time and in budget.
Stage 1
The first stage was the construction of a 4630m2 drive-through fertiliser and bulk storage building at the rear of the site. This building also included a 630m2 covered storage lean-to for storage
Stage 2
The second stage compromised of six apartments, with four one-bedroom apartments on the ground floor and two spacious two-bedroom apartments with concrete balconies on the first floor. A large 500m2 open plan office space, 1140m2 freight and bulk storage building, 1520m2 covered loading canopy, 1020m2 vehicle maintenance workshop with two vehicle pits
Stage 3
The third and final stage of this development was a 390m² tyre and windscreen repair shed at the rear of the development and 8,300m² of yard concrete that surrounds the entire development.
Project Team
Our team were engaged by UCT and HW Richardson Group for the design and build of the new UCT Head Office and Freight Hub. The project included architectural drawings, the preparation and submission of resource and building consent applications, project management, manufacturing of structural steel and precast concrete panels through to construction.
